Deep Blue Sea: String of Pearls

I recently enjoyed the pleasure of viewing the “Deep Blue Sea: String of Pearls” exhibition at the Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts. Happily, my friend, Sekio Fuapopo, was one of the amazing artists participating.   I’d like to encourage everyone to visit. It truly  is a profound  journey of the spirit. Details can be found below.

I would like to add just a few thoughts regarding my experience. Sekio explained that the subject of “The Deep Blue Sea: String of Pearls” centered around the idea of “gifting”.  The Sea gifts mankind with an endless supply of beauty and nourishment.  The artists gift their artwork in response to the ocean’s generosity. I left the exhibit with a renewed desire to create art. Thank you, my friend.  That was your gift to me.

I encourage everyone to check out this incredible show.  It is open until September 9th,  2016.   A picture is worth a thousand words.    Enjoy the gift of art.
